In this movie clip, a simple domino effect is used to draw out the protagonists symbol. This is not highly creative, but might allow for something interesting to be shown. It could be fun to draw out an image with dominoes, but also maybe too difficult to get perfecct.

This domino effect has a ebding, which is mainly why I enjoyed it so much. The rest was interesting, but not anything too original. This makes me understand that a domino effect can be very compelling to watch, but the ending nneds to satisfy the viewer to fully succeed.

This is a good example of a creative domino effect, as the creators employed thier knowledge of classic video games to entertain. The ending was good, as it was not expected. The use of the ball to manipulate objects was interesting, and worked very well.

Inspiration
Inspiration comes from many places, but within this topic there have been two big inspirations for me. “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” and “The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker” were both achieved using Maya.
The liquid metal T-1000 character in Terminator 2 was revolutionary CG animation. To this day, it still captures the imagination of the viewer and animates fluidly.
Wind Waker was not a pioneer in using cel shaded graphics, yet its style and charm garnered lots of praise and recognition. These beautiful visuals have also stood the test of time, and look out of the ordinary even today.

The Beginning...
Using Maya and delving into the world of 3-D is a challenging process. This is my first attempt at using a 3-D programme, and it seems to be going fine. The exercises given in class have not been too difficult to grasp, as of yet. Modelling is very enjoyable, as it harkens back to the pure simplicity of basic shapes. The animation side of things seems to be less time consuming than using hand drawn methods; I can’t really comment on this yet, as we have only just brushed the surface
